Mosler Automotive announced that their 900s will come standard with Dymag carbon fibre wheels. With carbon rims and a magnesium hubs, the total weight of the four wheels reduces weight significantly over the existing forged aluminum wheels on the current car. More importantly, weight on the rim is increased due to rotational forces so anything that can be saved on the wheels has significant impact to things like handling and acceleration,

“The Dymag carbon/magnesium wheels have nearly half as much rotational inertia as forged aluminum wheels,” says company founder Warren Mosler. “And, of course, pursuant to our imperative for total performance, the large savings in unsprung weight improves handling and ride qualities as well as our already extreme acceleration, braking and cornering.”

We couldn't agree more vigorously!

UPDATE: Autoblog has posted pictures of the Mosler and the wheels on their site.
