Concept car Climax is retro & hip at the same time

Three students from Coventry University in the UK worked 18 months to come up with a concept car that represents a modern day update to the classic cars of British racing. Refusing to compromise, the team wanted to show the world that you can still have an environmentally friendly car that also looks & feels fun to drive. Featuring the latest features such as a USB port so your laptop can access the engine to adjust the fuel mix, it also comes with modern updates such as, yes, we had to say it, Dymag Carbon/Mag wheels (specs listed on worldcarfans.com.
Even though the Climax runs on ethanol, the two-seater drives like a, "Lotus Elise" according to Fangio on his Autogate blog posting about the car.
The car is all about the driving experience - the deliberate lack of doors means that climbing into the car will evoke memories of classic, Le Mans type race cars, complete with flip up aero-screen. They see it as a British designed mid-engined sports car for the twenty-first century.
Production starts next Summer and they expect to sell them for around $65K. More info on the Concept Climax website.
