Coverage of Callaway C16 & Dymag

The coverage has been hot & heavy over the Callaway C16. Launched at the Los Angeles Auto Show, this most recent Callaway (as with all Callaways) is based on the Chevrolet Corvette platform. The C16 is powered by a supercharged 6.0-liter V8 that can produce 616 bhp at 6,200 rpm and 582 lb-ft of torque at 4,750 rpm. With this kind of power, you can go from 0-60 in 3.3 seconds or a quarter of a mile in 10.9 seconds. All this and you still get 18 city/28 highway. Oh yes, and custom Dymag Carbon Fiber wheels come standard.
Some coverage:
Super-lightweight Callaway Dymag wheels, the lightest road wheel in the industry, are fitted in sizes 19-inch x 10 front and 20-inch x 12 rear. The Dymag wheel features a remarkable hybrid of forged magnesium centers surrounded by carbon fiber rims - another example of Callaway bringing their race experience to their road cars. Dymag has been supplying advanced road wheels to Callaway since 1986.Dave Stubbs has some photos of the Callaway C16.
Bret Haller of 0-60 has some photos from the LA Auto Show including not only the Callaway but also a Ford GT which also features Dymag Carbon Fibers.
0-60 also does its own writeup on the Callaway with a close up photo of the wheels.
Winding Road also has coverage of the Callaway with a couple of photos.
We'll post more photos from the show as we get them.
